Victim Services

Christi Allen is our Special Victim Liaison that is responsible for attending all forensic interviews of children that have been victimized in our jurisdiction as well as available upon request from outside agencies. She acts as a liaison between Law Enforcement, the children, and their parents or guardians. She then discusses the interview with a representative from Childrenz Haven, a child advocacy center, the Polk County Criminal District Attorney’s Office, and Texas Department of Family and Protective Services.

Ms. Allen is TCOLE-certified for 25 years and holds a Master Peace Officer’s Certificate. She attends all forensic interviews and prepares notes and or reports for the detectives. Ms. Allen is available to present a program to schools, churches, and civic organizations regarding the victimization of children and how children can protect themselves against bullying, domestic violence, child abuse, and sexual assault.

The Special Victim Liaison is grant-funded through the Criminal Justice Division Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant.
