Due to the increase in drug possession, drug manufacturing, and drug trafficking in our County, The Polk County Sheriff's Office formed a Narcotics Division.  The purpose of the Narcotics Division is to investigate the manufacturing, possession, and trafficking of illegal narcotics and contraband. The Polk County Narcotics Division is made up of three Investigators and three canines.

For Emergencies Dial 911
Our dispatch center handles a multitude of calls daily including all of the 911 calls for Polk County. Our dispatch center can dispatch sheriff's Deputies, County Fire Departments, and local ambulance services. Our dispatch center also handles dispatch for the City of Onalaska, and local Texas Department of Public Safety Troopers. Jail Division & Warrants Division

The Polk County jail is located at 1733 N. Washington Livingston Texas. The Jail Administrator is Capt. Brent Phillips and Transport Lt. Richard Bailey . The jail staff consists of an Asst. Jail  Administrator, one nurse, a warrants officer, 3 shift supervisors, 17 jailers, 2 transport deputies, 15 part time employees. Visitation for inmates - Saturday 7am-1pm for males, 1pm-7pm for females, Sunday 7am-1pm for females, 1pm-7pm for males. Commisary funds for inmates must be mailed to the inmates.
