TRANSPORT DIVISION

The Polk County Sheriff's Office Transport Division is in charge of the movement of inmates in the care, custody and control of the Polk County Jail. If you need more information on the Transport Division please email Bernita Langley.

The Polk County Sheriff's Office Communications Center is a 24 hour a day 365 day operation. We are the busiest Public Safety Answering Point or more widely know as 911 located within deep east Texas. All 911 calls for the entire county are answered in our communication center and then are transferred to the appropriate agency to create a quick and timely response to your emergency. along with being the 911 answering point for the county we dispatch not only our patrol deputies but for many local and statewide law enforcement entities such as, Polk County Fire Marshall's Office, Polk County Constables Departments, Onalaska Police Department, Texas Department of Public Safety, Texas Parks and Wild Life and the Texas Alcohol and Beverage Commission. The goal of the communications center is to provide a knowledgeable staff of communication operators that can assist you in your time of emergency or with any questions you may have.
