Sheriff Hammack would like the public to know that the Polk County Sheriff's Office has developed
several informative programs for public gatherings and organizations. These programs consist of a neighborhood watch program "Polk County Wise Eyes". This is a program that brings the old Neighborhood Watch program into the electronic age by utilizing the web email to distribute information on crime. Another is how to prevent "Identity Theft" and how to deal with it if you are a victim. The Sheriff's Office also has a program "Scams and You" which deals with recognizing scams and how to deal with it if you are a victim. The forth program deals with "internet Safety" for children which one out of five children will be victimized this year
If you are interested in having any of these programs presented to your P.O.A., Organization or any group of residents call the Special Projects Office at the Polk County Sheriff's Office and request any or all of the projects
Thanks
Sheriff Kenneth Hammack
